Carlos Sainz has been performing really well in Formula 1 this year. He’s the only driver, apart from Max Verstappen, who has won a race in 2024. Even though he couldn’t race in Saudi Arabia due to health reasons, he’s only seven points behind his teammate Charles Leclerc in the championship standings.

Because of his strong performance, many teams are interested in signing him for next year’s F1 season. Red Bull, Mercedes, and Audi all want him on their team.

People have noticed that Sainz is doing even better this year with Ferrari. Some think he’s changed his approach or his driving style. But according to Sainz himself, it’s mainly because Ferrari’s new car, the SF-24, is easier to handle compared to last year’s car.

He said, “The new car is more stable, so I feel more confident driving it. Last year’s car was more unpredictable, which made me nervous sometimes. But this year, I feel more comfortable pushing the car to its limits.”

Sainz believes that when a driver feels more confident, they can drive better. He thinks he’s performing at his best since joining Ferrari, even though he found out his contract won’t be renewed after 2025. He’s not sure if this is the best form of his career because it’s hard to compare different years and cars.

He said, “I’ve had good seasons before with other teams. It depends on many factors, like the car’s performance and how I feel. Right now, I’m driving well and getting good results, but it’s not easy to say if it’s the best I’ve ever been.”
