During the final top 10 shootout in Miami, Max Verstappen had only one lap. Even though he struggled, his competitors also found it hard to improve their times from the previous session, even with softer tires.

Lando Norris from McLaren seemed like he could have taken pole position again, as his time in the previous session was faster than Verstappen’s pole-winning time.

But Verstappen managed to find enough pace to beat Charles Leclerc from Ferrari by one-tenth of a second, with his teammate Sergio Perez just behind.

Verstappen was surprised when his engineer told him he got pole position. He said his car felt difficult to drive, especially for just one lap.

He mentioned that during the earlier practice session, he felt good and confident. But when it came to qualifying, things didn’t feel the same.

Even though he wasn’t feeling confident, he somehow ended up in first place. He wasn’t sure what happened to the other cars in the final lap.

Behind Leclerc and Perez, Daniel Ricciardo, who had a tough start to the season, managed to secure fourth place for Red Bull.
