Lando Norris had a tough start in the race, struggling to keep up with Max Verstappen, who was leading. But after changing his tyres halfway through the race, Norris started to close the gap with Verstappen.

In the last 15 laps, Norris got closer and closer to Verstappen. He almost caught up with him, but just couldn’t get close enough to try to overtake him. At the finish line, Norris was less than a second behind Verstappen, who won the race.

Norris believed that if the race had gone on for a few more laps, he might have had a chance to pass Verstappen. But his team boss, Stella, wasn’t so sure. He said that overtaking at Imola is very difficult, especially when you’re up against someone as skilled as Max Verstappen.

Stella praised Norris for managing his tyres well at Imola

Stella praised Norris for managing his tyres well. He explained that they were worried about Norris losing time in the first part of the race behind Verstappen. But Norris did a great job of saving his tyres for the final push towards the end of the race.

Norris agreed that losing time to Verstappen in the first part of the race hurt his chances of winning. He felt that Verstappen was better in the beginning, but they were stronger in the second part of the race.

Even though Norris didn’t win, he still felt positive about the race. He said that after his first win in Miami, he was starting to expect more from himself and the team. Despite not winning, Norris was proud of the improvements they made and looked forward to future races.
