During the recent weekend, Red Bull had to make big changes to their car’s settings because it didn’t like the bumps on the track. Unfortunately, Sergio Perez crashed during practice, so Max Verstappen didn’t get a chance to practice on the faster tires before qualifying.

Even though Verstappen still managed to get pole position, Perez couldn’t make it to the next qualifying round because he made a mistake during qualifying, blaming it on having to use both old and new tires.

Yuki Tsunoda, however, did really well during practice and qualifying, finishing third in one session and then seventh in the final qualifying. He was happy with his car’s performance and thanked his team for it.

He was surprised by how well the car was doing, especially since they usually struggle with high-speed tracks. He thinks maybe it’s because they’re racing close to the team’s home base.

Tsunoda also praised the improvements made by his team this year, including their team principal.

Meanwhile, Perez had a tough time in qualifying, blaming his mistakes on tire issues. His teammate, Daniel Ricciardo, also had difficulties, finishing ninth.

Red Bull has a tough decision to make about their drivers for next year. They’re waiting to see if Perez can improve after a tough start to the season. Tsunoda has shown promise, but it might not be enough for him to get promoted next year.

The team has been working with Tsunoda to help him stay calm during tough moments in races, something he’s struggled with before.

They’re also considering other options, like bringing back Daniel Ricciardo or signing Carlos Sainz from Ferrari.

Tsunoda had a good weekend, showing that he can compete well even on difficult tracks, while Perez struggled despite having one of the best cars on the grid.
