In the Monaco Grand Prix, Max Verstappen from Red Bull started and finished in sixth place. The top 10 drivers didn’t change much throughout the race. It was not very exciting because there wasn’t much action after the race had to stop due to Sergio Perez crashing with two Haas drivers on the first lap. This crash let all the other drivers change their tires without losing time in the pits.

Verstappen had to change his strategy after the race resumed because of the red flag. He had to use a different type of tire than he had planned. This made him drive slower to save his tires. He tried to catch up to George Russell’s Mercedes but couldn’t pass him, even though his tires were better.

Verstappen said, “It was boring because I had to drive slower to save my tires. We couldn’t race properly.” He thinks the track layout at Monaco is the main reason for the lack of action. He believes changing the track could make the races more exciting.

Verstappen mentioned, “Monaco is a great place, but the race on Sunday is not as fun. If we can change the track to make racing better, that would be great.” He suggested that if there’s a chance to change the track layout, he would support it.

After the Monaco Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc won his first race at his home track. Verstappen’s lead in the F1 championship is now 31 points over Leclerc. Red Bull’s lead in the constructor’s championship is down to 24 points over Ferrari.
