In Forza Horizon 5, players can enhance their vehicles through a series of “Motor and Battery” upgrades divided into three stages. Despite the game’s arcade-style approach, these modifications significantly boost performance. The initial upgrade increases power by 107 horsepower and 106 lb-ft of torque.

Enhancing the vehicle’s performance, the second stage upgrade delivers an additional 214 horsepower and 212 lb-ft of torque. The final stage pushes these gains even further, increasing output by 321 horsepower and 319 lb-ft of torque.

Even with these large power increases, the car weighs 5,450 pounds. This won’t change unless the anti-roll bars, springs, dampers, or brakes are changed more. It’s important to remember that removing the rear wing might enhance launch performance, but handling, acceleration, and braking may suffer as a result.

Forza Horizon 5 continues to thrive, especially with its latest Retrowave update, featuring the Hyundai N Vision 74 and a rich 1980s theme complete with neon lights and synthwave tunes. This update also introduces the Wave radio station, which further enhances the retro experience with its tracks and music.

Despite being released in November 2022, the game maintains an impressive 88% player review score on Steam, unlike the more recent Forza Motorsport, which is struggling with a low 40% rating. Forza Horizon 5 can be most affordably accessed through Game Pass, though discounts on Xbox or Steam are also an option.

Additionally, speculation has arisen about Microsoft potentially offering $16 billion to acquire Valve, which, if true, could have a substantial impact on the gaming industry. However, there is apprehension about this move, given Microsoft’s recent track record of mismanaging and closing several acquired studios.
