Kia has announced that they’re working on a hotter version of the EV3, following the debut of their mini EV3 crossover. The CEO of the brand, Ho Sung Song, said that they plan to add GT versions to all their electric vehicle models, after seeing the success of the EV6 GT. The regular EV3 model only has one motor and front-wheel drive, but we expect the GT version to have an all-wheel-drive system to make it even better.

Kia is a car company that started in 1944 by Kim Cheol-Ho in South Korea. Now, Kia makes cars in 14 factories across 8 countries and is led by CEO Ho-Sung Song.

The EV3 is the smallest model in Kia’s electric car lineup. It joins the EV6 and EV9 with its cool design and aims to attract buyers with its spaciousness and long range. It will compete against cars like the Volvo EX30 and the new Chevrolet Bolt, and it seems ready to win over new customers.

Right now, the EV3 doesn’t have super exciting performance, even in the GT-line trim. It has one motor in the front that makes 201 horsepower and 209 lb-ft of torque. Kia says it can go from 0 to 62 mph in 7.5 seconds. But it’s not just about speed; the EV3 can go a long way on a single charge, especially with the bigger battery. Kia says it can go up to 373 miles on a full charge and can charge from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes. Inside, it’s packed with tech and features like big screens and safety systems.

Kia knows how to make powerful cars, as seen with the EV6 GT. It’s really fast and handles well. It has two motors making 576 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque. The upcoming EV9 GT will be even more powerful. So, there’s a lot of potential for the EV3 GT.

We might not see the same power in the smaller EV3, but Kia could add a second motor to the front to boost power to 402 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. With this much power and the big battery, the EV3 GT could be a strong competitor. All it would need are some tweaks to the suspension, brakes, and driving modes to make the most of its performance.
