Similar to Hamilton, who will be driving for Ferrari next season after being with Mercedes for 12 seasons, six-time MotoGP world champion Marquez has also joined an Italian team, Ducati.

Marquez, who is 31 years old, ended his contract with Honda in 2023, even though it was supposed to last another year. This happened because Honda’s performance was not good.

Marquez’s career faced many challenges due to injuries. In 2018, he hurt his shoulder and needed surgery. Then, in 2020, he injured his arm in a crash at Jerez. This made people worried he might have to stop racing. In 2021, he had double vision after another crash. The same thing happened in 2022 after a big crash at the Indonesian Grand Prix.

But this year, he joined Gresini Racing, a team that uses Ducati bikes. He did well and stayed healthy, so now he’s moving to a factory team for 2025.
