Ducati has finalized terms with Aldeguer to pilot factory machinery beginning next year, marking a significant milestone in the young rider’s career.

While initially anticipated to join Pramac, Ducati’s official announcement omits explicit details regarding Aldeguer’s team placement.

Regarded as one of the most promising talents in the paddock, Aldeguer’s move to MotoGP in 2025 follows impressive performances, including five Grand Prix victories for Speed Up in Moto2 last season, securing third place in the championship.

Speculation surrounded Aldeguer’s potential MotoGP debut in 2024, with various teams, including Honda, linked to the talented rider. However, Aldeguer opted to fulfill his contract with Speed Up in Moto2 for the current season.

Aldeguer’s contract with Ducati spans two years, with an option for an extension until at least 2028, offering a base salary of approximately €300,000 for his MotoGP debut.

Gigi Dall’Igna, Ducati’s general manager, expressed enthusiasm for Aldeguer’s inclusion in the Ducati family, highlighting his exceptional talent and potential for success. Aldeguer’s signing follows Ducati’s recent contract extension with double-world champion Francesco Bagnaia, reaffirming the team’s commitment to nurturing young talent.
