MG Motor Australia has initiated significant price reductions across its lineup of petrol and hybrid vehicles, effective from April 1, 2024. The adjustments encompass popular models such as the MG 3, ZS, ZST, and HS, with potential savings of up to $6000 on offer.
The price revisions extend to all petrol and hybrid models, except for the MG 5, with reductions ranging from $1000 to $6000 on nationwide drive-away pricing. Notably, these adjustments apply to model year 2023 vehicles, except for the MG HS Plus EV plug-in hybrid, which includes model year 2022 vehicles.
Among the most substantial price cuts are observed within the mid-sized HS crossover range. The Vibe model sees a reduction of $3000, while the Excite and Essence variants benefit from reductions of $4000 and $5000, respectively. Additionally, the Plus EV plug-in hybrids witness price drops of $5300, with the all-wheel drive Essence X experiencing a significant $6000 reduction.
For the MG 3 lineup, all models see a reduction of $1000 in anticipation of the upcoming launch of a more upscale replacement scheduled for July. Similarly, the ZS and ZST models receive price cuts ranging from $1000 to $2500.
MG Motor Australia CEO, Peter Ciao, emphasized the brand’s commitment to prioritizing customer accessibility by offering a diverse range of affordable vehicles. He stated, “Whenever we can pass price reductions like this onto our customers, we will make sure we do.”
These pricing adjustments for petrol and hybrid models follow the recent introduction of nationwide drive-away pricing for all electric MG 4 and ZS EV models on March 22. With the entry-level EV ranges now starting at $39,990 drive-away, MG remains a competitive option in the electric vehicle market, particularly in certain states where it claims the title of the most affordable EV.
