The 2025 Infiniti QX80, a luxurious SUV, made its grand debut by being lifted onto a 1,100-foot-tall outdoor observation deck called the Edge in Hudson Yards, New York. This event marked its first public appearance on March 20th. However, achieving this feat was no small task, requiring extensive preparation and effort from the Japanese automaker.

To transport the full-size SUV to the pinnacle of the Western Hemisphere’s highest outdoor sky deck, Infiniti undertook a complex disassembly process. The QX80 was meticulously taken apart into thousands of pieces to enable them to fit into the elevators for transportation. This disassembly involved removing the engine and fuel system, as well as cutting the roof and frame into modular pieces, and reverse-engineering the electrical system.

Once all the component parts were transported to the observation deck, a team of hundreds worked tirelessly to reassemble the QX80. Remarkably, this intricate process was completed just 11 hours before the SUV’s public reveal. The reassembly was executed with such precision that even the brand’s head designer couldn’t discern that the flagship vehicle had been taken apart and reconstructed.

The 2025 Infiniti QX80 will be available in four trims: PURE, LUXE, SENSORY, and AUTOGRAPH. Pricing for the base PURE model starts at $82,450, while the range-topping AUTOGRAPH begins at $100,645. These trims offer various levels of luxury and customization to cater to different preferences and needs.

Under the hood, the new QX80 boasts a powerful twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine, generating 450 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. This represents a significant increase in power compared to the previous model, which was equipped with a naturally aspirated 5.6-liter V-8 engine. With enhanced performance and advanced features, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 promises an unparalleled driving experience for luxury SUV enthusiasts.
