There’s a surprising trend happening in New York City. Toyota’s new electric car, the bZ4X, is everywhere! This is interesting because some reviewers haven’t been too impressed with the bZ4X. They say it’s slow to charge, doesn’t have a great range, and is a bit expensive.

But the author of this article actually likes the bZ4X! They think it has a lot of potential to be a really popular electric car, especially with some improvements from Toyota.

One reason the bZ4X is doing well in New York City is because ride-sharing drivers are switching to electric cars. And since Toyota is a trusted brand known for reliable and fuel-efficient cars, the bZ4X is a natural choice for them. Plus, there are currently some incredible lease deals available on the bZ4X, making it a very affordable option.

The author believes that the ideal electric car for most Americans is basically an electric version of the Toyota RAV4. People want a dependable, spacious, and affordable car that just happens to be electric. This is why the Tesla Model Y and Volkswagen ID.4 are so popular. The bZ4X is supposed to be Toyota’s answer to this trend, but there are a few things holding it back.

We’ll find out in the next section of the article what those things are and what improvements Toyota could make to the bZ4X.

The inside of the bZ4X is another thing the author likes. It’s not cluttered with confusing buttons and screens. Instead, it has clear and easy-to-use buttons, kind of like the inside of a fighter jet. The seats are super comfy too, and there’s enough space for everyone.

There are a couple of downsides to the interior, though. First, the all-black color scheme in the author’s test car made it look a little boring. Second, there’s no glove compartment, which can be annoying. Also, the trunk isn’t quite as big as the one in a RAV4.

One surprising thing about the bZ4X is how fun it is to drive! It doesn’t have the super-fast acceleration of some other electric cars, but it still feels quick and responsive. The handling is also good, making it more enjoyable to drive than a regular RAV4 or Prius.

The bZ4X also shows how Toyota has improved its technology. The smartphone app lets you do a lot of things, like remotely locking and unlocking your car, scheduling maintenance, and seeing how much charge you have left. The voice commands work well too, and the big touchscreen display is clear and easy to use.

There are a couple of downsides to the technology, though. First, you need to create a Toyota account to use the navigation system, and after three years, you have to pay a subscription fee to keep using it. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are still free, though.

Second, Toyota doesn’t seem to be very good at sending software updates over the air, which is something that other electric car companies like Tesla and Rivian do more often. Hopefully, Toyota will improve on this in the future.

So, the bZ4X has a lot to offer, but there’s also room for improvement. We’ll find out what those improvements are in the next section of the article.
