Production of the INEOS Grenadier and Quartermaster models, which had been temporarily halted in September 2024 due to a critical component shortage, will resume in early January 2025. INEOS Automotive has worked closely with its partners, all of whom have been informed and are prepared to support the restart of operations at the company’s plant in Hambach, France. The supply chain challenges had significantly impacted the production timeline, but a solution has now been found, allowing the company to move forward.
Lynn Calder, the CEO of INEOS Automotive, expressed satisfaction with the swift resolution of the issue, emphasizing the complexity of automotive supply chains. Despite the interruption, the company had achieved impressive sales figures by mid-2024, with sales of the Grenadier surpassing those for the entire previous year. Calder highlighted that INEOS Automotive was on track to have more than 20,000 Grenadiers on the road by the end of 2024, demonstrating strong demand for the vehicles despite the production pause.
Looking ahead, Calder shared optimism about 2025, noting that the company would focus on preparing the Hambach facility for production resumption. Significant growth is expected in key markets such as China, Mexico, and the USA, with expansion plans already in place. This growth, coupled with the production restart, positions 2025 as a promising year for INEOS Automotive, with expectations of achieving new milestones in both production and sales.
INEOS Automotive’s Hambach facility, described as ‘state of the art,’ produces several models, including the Grenadier station wagon, the Quartermaster double-cab pick-up, and the Quartermaster double-cab chassis. These models are delivered to customers worldwide, showcasing the company’s global reach and commitment to high-quality manufacturing. The restart of production marks a crucial step in meeting customer demand and continuing the company’s growth trajectory.
