Leapmotor delivered a record 105,656 vehicles worldwide in September 2026, extending a rapid growth streak that has pushed the Chinese new-energy vehicle manufacturer into a much larger global position.

The company said September deliveries increased 59% from the same month last year and 2.45% from August, marking its third consecutive month above the 100,000-vehicle threshold.

The September result helped Leapmotor post a record 310,052 deliveries during the third quarter, up 78.34% year over year and 25.87% from the second quarter. The figures underscore how quickly the brand has expanded while it simultaneously builds a larger international presence.

The growth is particularly significant because Leapmotor is still a relatively young automotive company. Its progress is being supported by a partnership with Stellantis, which has provided the Chinese manufacturer with access to an established global distribution and manufacturing network.

That relationship is increasingly important as Leapmotor prepares to introduce more vehicles to European customers.

Record Deliveries Give Leapmotor More Momentum

September was the third consecutive month in which Leapmotor exceeded 100,000 global deliveries. The company first crossed that threshold in July and then set another monthly record in August before reaching 105,656 units in September. The sequence indicates that the increase is not being driven by a single unusually strong month.

The third-quarter total is even more revealing. Leapmotor delivered 310,052 vehicles between July and September, putting quarterly volume nearly 80% above the same period of 2025. The company described the result as another record and said it strengthened its position among the fastest-growing new-energy vehicle manufacturers.

Leapmotor has also passed several important product milestones. Production of the B01 and B10 has exceeded 300,000 units combined in just 18 months, according to the company. Those models have become important parts of the brand’s expansion, with the B10 in particular gaining a broader international footprint.

The B10 is now available in more than 40 countries and regions. Leapmotor said it ranked as the best-selling Chinese compact battery-electric SUV in Europe during the first half of 2026, highlighting the role the model is playing outside its home market.

The company is not relying only on vehicle volume to support its expansion. Leapmotor has continued investing in its own technology, including its LEAP 5.0 architecture and CTC 3.0 battery system. The company says those technologies are intended to support next-generation models beginning in 2027.

At its September Technology Day, Leapmotor introduced LEAP 5.0, a new vehicle architecture designed to improve interior packaging and intelligent vehicle functions. It also introduced its latest cell-to-chassis battery technology, which integrates low-voltage functions into the main battery pack and eliminates the need for a separate 12-volt battery.

Stellantis Gives Leapmotor a European Route

The partnership with Stellantis is one of the most important elements of Leapmotor’s international strategy. Stellantis and Leapmotor established Leapmotor International, a 51:49 joint venture designed to accelerate the Chinese brand’s international expansion outside China.

Rather than building a European sales and service operation entirely from scratch, Leapmotor can use Stellantis’ existing relationships and infrastructure. That approach gives the Chinese manufacturer an established route into markets where dealership coverage, parts availability, and after-sales support are critical to building customer confidence.

The European network has expanded rapidly. In September, Leapmotor said its European retail network had surpassed 1,000 locations. The company said Europe represented 27% of its global deliveries in August, its largest share of global deliveries from the region at that point.

The UK provides another indication of the brand’s acceleration. Leapmotor recorded 3,943 UK registrations in September, its strongest month in the market, according to figures cited by the company from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. That was more than seven times the number recorded in September 2025.

Leapmotor’s UK registrations reached 13,283 during the first nine months of 2026, compared with 1,535 during the same period a year earlier. The brand maintained about a 1% share of the British new-car market during the third quarter, only 18 months after entering the country.

The B10 was particularly strong in Britain. It recorded 1,883 registrations in September, putting it among the country’s five best-selling electric vehicles for the month and second among retail battery-electric vehicles. The company said 94% of its UK registrations during the first nine months were battery-electric vehicles.

Those results show why Europe is becoming increasingly important to Leapmotor. The company is moving from being primarily a Chinese-market manufacturer toward a brand with a meaningful international sales operation.

The strategy will be on display at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. Stellantis has confirmed that Leapmotor will make the international premieres of the B03 compact B-segment electric vehicle and D19 flagship SUV at the event, which runs from October 12 through October 18.

New Models Will Test Leapmotor’s Global Ambitions

The Paris Motor Show will provide Leapmotor with an opportunity to demonstrate how quickly its product range is expanding. The B03 is positioned as a compact electric vehicle for the European market, while the D19 is intended to give the company a larger flagship model.

Stellantis plans to display the two vehicles alongside Leapmotor’s broader lineup, including the B03X, B05, B10, C10, and T03. The range illustrates the company’s effort to cover several market segments rather than depending on a single successful product.

Leapmotor has also continued improving existing vehicles. The updated 2027 C10 adopts the company’s latest 3.5 electronic and electrical architecture and gains upgraded connectivity, driver-assistance functions, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Selected versions also receive powertrain improvements, faster charging, and greater driving range.

That approach is important for a young brand competing in developed markets. Consumers may be attracted by price and technology, but long-term success depends on product breadth, safety performance, reliability, and service support.

Leapmotor has recently secured a five-star Euro NCAP rating for the B05, giving the company another piece of evidence to use when competing with established European, Japanese, and Korean brands.

Its LEAP 5.0 architecture and CTC 3.0 battery system are scheduled to underpin products launching from 2027 onward. The company says its in-house research and development organization has 11 years of experience, giving it a technical base it hopes will translate into faster product development.

There are still substantial challenges ahead. Chinese automakers face regulatory barriers, tariffs, intense competition, and the difficulty of establishing long-term brand recognition outside China. European markets are also becoming increasingly competitive as established manufacturers expand their own electric lineups and adjust pricing.

Leapmotor’s relationship with Stellantis provides a potentially important advantage, but it also means the brand’s international development is closely connected to Stellantis’ own strategy. The partnership must balance Leapmotor’s need for rapid growth with the interests of a global automotive group managing numerous established brands.

September’s 105,656 deliveries represented a 59% annual increase, while third-quarter deliveries reached 310,052. The company has also expanded its European retail network beyond 1,000 locations and is preparing a larger product offensive.

The next stage will be determining whether the extraordinary growth achieved in China can be translated into durable international demand. The B03 and D19 premieres in Paris will give European buyers and industry observers an early look at how Leapmotor intends to compete across a wider range of segments.

With record deliveries, a growing dealer network, and Stellantis providing an established route into international markets, Leapmotor is no longer positioning itself simply as another emerging Chinese EV manufacturer.

Its latest numbers suggest it is becoming a serious global challenger, although sustaining that momentum across multiple markets will be the company’s more difficult test.
