On 15th July, the Japanese automakers announced the launch of a new generation of Toyota Crown. The Crown series by Toyota is one of the oldest car series. This new generation of Crown will be available in four body styles. It will be introduced as a Sedan, SUV, Sport, an Estate model. The Crown has also gotten the title “the pride of Japan.” The founder of Toyota, Kiichiro Toyoda, gave this name to this amazing car series.
Crown was first introduced in 1955 as the Toyopet. It was one of the best sedans of Toyota back in the day. Toyota is back with the sixteenth generation of Crown. This latest generation of the classic car series will be available on the market for the first time. It will be available in more than 40 countries. Toyota Crown: Power and Performance
The 2023 model of Toyota’s Crown is mounted with a 2.5-liter inline four-engine attached to three electric motors. This engine and electric motors will generate 236 horsepower. The transmission provided in this car is eCVT. With the Hybrid Max option, these cars can produce 340 horsepower. However, the engine specifications could vary a bit because of the four different body styles in the lineup.

Features Of The All-New Crown Series
Coming to the features part, the all-new Crown will be infused with dual 12.3 inches screens. One of the screens will be a horizontal digital cluster, while the other screen will be a touchscreen infotainment system connected to 12 speakers setup. Toyota has kept the safety of the passengers and drivers in mind by providing the consumers with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 driver aid suite. It will be equipped with a pre-collision system with an automatic brake function.
Adaptive Cruise control, a 360-degree camera, and a pedestrian detection system will also be present in the car series. All the models will also get a panoramic sunroof. The rest of the features will be highlighted once the production begins.
Toyota Crown: Different Body Styles And The Exterior
As mentioned above, the Crown will be available in four different body styles. These are SUVs, sedans, estate, and sports models. Crossover SUVs and Sports are the newest addition to this car series. Earlier, the Crown was available as Sedan, wagon (estate), and fastback. The design of all the body styles is modern and futuristic. There is a dual-tone color scheme on the crossover and sports models.
Toyota Crown: Expected Release Date & Price
Any information related to the release date and pricing is not out yet, but the All-new Crown series is expected to be launched in 2023. However, the expected price for the sedan version could be around $40,000 compared to the previous generation. The cheapest and most affordable model will cost around $31,000.
