The German automaker, Volkswagen, has started the production of its electric car in the United States. ID. 4 is finally on the production line. Till now, ID. 4 was getting imported from Germany. In 2021, more than 15,000 electric SUVs will be imported to the United States. With the production starting in America, it is expected that Volkswagen will produce around 7,000 ID.4 per month. This electric SUV will get a few changes. Hence, it will be a different version than the European one.

Specifications
With the ambitions of being the world’s largest electric automaker, Volkswagen introduced its all-electric car worldwide. Let’s have a look at one of their EV. ID. 4 is the electric SUV by Volkswagen. It is a perfect example of a practical car with all top-notch qualities.
ID. 4 comes with an optional motor setup. The first is the single motor that is mounted on the rear wheels. This motor generates 201 horsepower. On the other hand, the dual motor setup comes with an all-wheel drive. This motor makes 295 horsepower. The rear-wheel drive motor accelerates from zero to sixty mph in 7.6 seconds. However, the all-wheel drive setup takes lesser time. Thus, it can accelerate in just 5.4 seconds. The ID. 4 can travel 280 miles on a single charge. Also, for the American version of ID. 4, the battery pack will come from a different supplier.
New Features
The interior cabin of the ID. 4 is mounted with a standard 10.0- inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system can be upgraded to 12.0-inch touchscreen infotainment. Also, the car is connected wirelessly with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The digital cluster also gets a 5.3-inch screen. The cabin of ID. 4 is spacious enough to provide a comfortable ride to all the passengers. The interior of this electric vehicle gets a revamped finish for the American version. The overall design of the ID. 4 is decent and offers many high-tech features. It gets ambient lighting, 12-way power adjustable front seats, memory functionality of the seats, and a big trunk for the cargo. Additionally, for safety, this EV gets adaptive cruise control, an automated emergency brake system, lane keeping assist, lane departure assist, and many more features.
New Changes
In America, Volkswagen will launch a new entry-level model as well. This will be the cheaper version of the ID. 4. It will come with a smaller battery pack. Therefore, it will have a less range. Other changes are the larger infotainment system, interior components, and electric components will be supplied from American suppliers.

Volkswagen has not revealed prices for the American version of Volkswagen ID. 4. The estimated price of this electric SUV will be around $35,000. However, the price list will be launched in the upcoming weeks, and we will update you.
