A US company called Enteligent is now taking pre-orders for a brand new way to charge electric vehicles (EVs). Their charger, called the TLCEV T1, is special because it uses solar power instead of electricity from the grid. This means you can charge your car directly from the sun!
The TLCEV T1 isn’t just eco-friendly. It’s also powerful. It can deliver a fast charge of up to 12.5 kW, which is quicker than many standard chargers. Plus, unlike other chargers, there’s no complicated setup process. You can easily install it under solar panels at your house, workplace, or even a parking lot. This makes it a great option for a variety of locations.
Enteligent says their charger can save you up to 20% on energy costs because it avoids unnecessary conversions between different types of electricity. But the biggest benefit is for the environment. By using solar power, you’ll be reducing your reliance on fossil fuels and helping to fight climate change.
Enteligent’s CEO, Sean Burke, mentioned that most people charge their EVs at night, which is when power plants are often burning fossil fuels. With the TLCEV T1, EV drivers can charge their cars during the day when the sun is shining, making a switch to clean energy even easier.
