Leaked info alert!

Someone found secret details about a new, high-performance version of the Tesla Model 3 online. This souped-up Model 3 has been rumored for a while, but so far Tesla has kept everything under wraps.

Here’s how the info leaked: a website called InsideEVs got a tip from a reader and then went digging through the code for Tesla UK’s website. Hidden in the code, they found hints about things like the car’s power output, suspension system, and even special software features.

Now, there’s a catch. This info is hidden for a reason – Tesla probably isn’t ready to announce the new car officially yet. So, even though the info came from Tesla’s own website, we can’t be 100% sure it’s accurate. Car companies sometimes change things up before a car goes on sale. Still, this leak gives us a pretty good idea of what this new high-performance Model 3 might be like.

The leak also gives us some clues about how fast this new Model 3 might be. The Tesla website code says it’s the most powerful Model 3 ever, with over 500 horsepower! It also mentions “all-new high-performance drive units” so it sounds like Tesla has been busy tinkering under the hood.

One thing missing from the leak is any mention of a “Ludicrous” mode. Tesla sometimes uses this name for their super-fast cars, but it seems like they might be sticking with just “Performance” for this Model 3. There were rumors of a “Ludicrous” badge on some early test cars, but maybe those were just prototypes.

The leak doesn’t say exactly how fast the car will go from 0 to 60 mph, but it does say something interesting: “0-60 mph in {ACCELERATION} seconds.” This suggests Tesla might not be ready to reveal the official acceleration time yet.

However, someone who saw the car at a private event in April whispered that it might be able to do 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds! That would be even faster than the previous Model 3 Performance, which could do it in 3.5 seconds according to Car and Driver. Of course, this 2.9 second time is just a rumor for now, but it gives us an idea of how quick this new car might be.
