The new Tesla Model 3 Performance is much better than the older version. It has 510 horsepower and can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. This means it’s as fast as some supercars. But how did Tesla make it so good? In a new video on Tesla’s YouTube channel, the people who made the car talk about what they did.

Even though it looks similar to the regular Model 3, the Model 3 Performance has some important changes. The front of the car is different, with bigger air ducts and a front splitter that help it stay stable at high speeds. At the back, there’s a small carbon fiber spoiler and a new diffuser. These small changes make a big difference. Tesla says the car has 36% less lift, 5% less drag, and the weight is better balanced from front to back.

Inside, the Model 3 Performance has new sports seats that look like the ones in the Model S Plaid. They have more support, which is good for driving fast. There’s also carbon fiber trim and the seats can be heated, ventilated, and adjusted in twelve different ways.

The car has new wheels that are lighter and stiffer, making it easier to turn. It also has adaptive damping for the first time, which helps with the ride quality. The tires were made with Pirelli to be better in every way.

Tesla also made changes to the engine, inverter, and gears. The car now has 510 horsepower and 547 lb-ft of torque. It can go up to 163 mph, which is faster than the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N. And even though it starts at $54,990, it’s still a good deal because of the tax credit.
