EV Chargers Coming To NSW Power Poles In $2 Million Trial

EV Chargers Coming To NSW Power Poles In $2 Million Trial

A new EV infrastructure trial in Australia is aiming to provide access to chargers to the owners without on-site EV charging facility

Singurality Hub/ Electric Vehicle

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency is partially funding this trial

This agency will help in installing 50 EV chargers on street-side power poles

The chargers are specially designed for owners who don't have on-site charging stations

This trial is led by a utility service company Intellihub and backed by Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric will supply 7.5kW EV chargers which will help in overnight charging

Bollard-mounted EV chargers are already installed in the UK, US, Germany, and Canada

Total 7 local councils across New South Wales are taking part in this trial

This trial demonstrates there is no barrier to using existing street power poles for EV charging
