Police in Georgia came to the rescue of a woman who found herself in a precarious situation after experiencing a medical emergency while driving her Toyota Corolla. The incident led to both the vehicle and the driver becoming lodged on top of a covered swimming pool.

In a dramatic 9-1-1 call, a distressed woman reported the unusual scenario, stating that a car had crashed through the pool fence, leaving her trapped atop the pool cover. She expressed concern about the stability of the cover, indicating uncertainty about how long it would hold.

Body camera footage shared on YouTube captured the scene as police officers arrived at the condo complex in Kennesaw, Georgia. They found a man standing beside the black Corolla, which had come to rest on the pool cover. The driver was reportedly unable to maintain consciousness, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.

Upon their arrival, officers observed the driver’s condition and, unable to elicit a response, took decisive measures to reach her. Breaking the rear window, they accessed the vehicle and discovered the driver slumped over in her seat.

With reassuring words, the officers successfully extracted the driver from the car and the pool, ensuring her safety and comfort with blankets.

She received initial treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital, where she is expected to recover fully, according to Cobb County Police. The exact cause of the medical emergency remains unknown.

Later, a tow truck was dispatched to remove the car from the pool. The incident highlighted the remarkable durability of the pool cover, considering the weight of the vehicle and the added pressure of the water.

The unidentified pool cover manufacturer could use this event as a testament to the strength and reliability of their product.
