Ferrari has expanded its ultra-exclusive lineup with the new HC25, a one-off model revealed at Ferrari Racing Days at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.

Developed through Ferrari’s Special Projects program, the HC25 is based on the F8 Spider but pushes the mid-engine V8 concept into a more dramatic and futuristic design direction. Styled by the Ferrari Design Centre under Flavio Manzoni, it was commissioned for a single client and also marks a milestone as the final non-hybrid twin-turbo V8 spider from the brand.

Although it shares its underlying platform with the F8 Spider, the HC25 features a completely new visual identity. Its design is sharper and more geometric while still retaining Ferrari’s signature mid-engine proportions. The company says it blends heritage-inspired cues with styling hints that could influence future models such as the F80 and 12Cilindri.

A defining feature is a gloss-black strip that runs the length of the car, separating the body visually while also integrating cooling and heat management elements. The side profile features flowing sculpted lines that enhance the sense of movement even when stationary.

The HC25 also introduces unique headlights with new Ferrari lighting tech, including vertically arranged LED daytime running lights that form a distinctive boomerang-like signature around the front fenders.

Inside, the cabin mirrors the exterior’s design language, combining matte and gloss finishes. The Moonlight Grey exterior theme continues into the interior, accented with yellow details inspired by Ferrari’s branding and brake calipers.

The wheels are also bespoke, featuring a five-spoke design with diamond-cut edges and darker tones to visually enhance their size. Ferrari has also refined the proportions by reducing the visual mass of the glasshouse, giving the car a lower, sleeker stance.

Mechanically, the HC25 retains the F8 Spider’s twin-turbo V8 and drivetrain layout, with no official performance changes announced. However, its importance lies in its significance rather than numbers.

The model represents the end of an era for Ferrari, closing the chapter on pure ICE V8 spiders while hinting at the design direction of future performance models. Like other Special Projects creations, it was developed over roughly two years in close collaboration with the client, resulting in a completely bespoke vehicle built to production-level standards but tailored in every detail.
