The Ford Bronco Sport has built a reputation as an appealing compact SUV that combines everyday drivability with impressive off-road capability.

The rugged Badlands variant, in particular, is capable enough to tackle trails often reserved for its larger namesake, the Bronco, despite the two models sharing little mechanically. For 2026, Ford has introduced a series of updates affecting the Bronco Sport’s styling, features, technology, and pricing.

New Exterior Colors and Equipment Changes

Following an earlier announcement that introduced Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat, Ford has now expanded the Bronco Sport’s color options with Space White Metallic. This finish features subtle silver and blue undertones that can appear bright white or metallic gray depending on lighting conditions.

Outer Banks models receive a minor styling adjustment, replacing body-colored door handles with molded-in-color units as standard equipment.

Buyers interested in the front fender-mounted tie-downs now have the option to purchase them separately for $495, though they still require either the Black Diamond Off-Road Package or the Sasquatch Package. As a result, pricing for those packages has been reduced to $1,500 and $2,395, respectively.

Additionally, the Sasquatch Package no longer includes the front brush guard with an integrated recovery hook as standard equipment. However, owners can still add the accessory for $395 on appropriately equipped Black Diamond or Sasquatch models.

Interior and Technology Revisions

Several interior features have been removed or reconfigured for the 2026 model year. Wireless smartphone charging and the integrated garage-door opener have been eliminated from every trim level. Drivers will now need to rely on traditional charging cables and separate garage remotes.

Big Bend, Heritage, and Outer Banks trims no longer include the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as standard. Instead, they receive a smaller 8.0-inch display. Customers seeking the larger screen can still obtain it through the Sasquatch Outer Banks Package.

The Badlands trim also loses the front center-console grab handle, while Outer Banks models no longer feature automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Adjustable floodlights mounted in the liftgate, previously standard on Big Bend models, have been moved into the optional Convenience Package. Priced at $1,800, this package also includes heated front seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a wrapped steering wheel.

Every 2026 Bronco Sport now comes equipped with a standard 5G modem. To capitalize on the faster connection, Ford has introduced a new Connectivity Package. Buyers receive one year of service at no charge, while a seven-year subscription can be purchased upfront for $745.

Ford is also providing a complimentary one-year subscription to its Security Package. Through the FordPass application, owners can access features such as theft notifications, remote start disable functions, stolen-vehicle assistance, and deductible reimbursement benefits. After the free period ends, service can continue for $7.99 per month or $79.95 annually.

Customers interested in SiriusXM with 360L can purchase a three-year subscription for a one-time fee of $300, allowing access through both satellite radio and the vehicle’s 5G connectivity.

Badlands Trim Sees Lower Pricing

One of the biggest changes for 2026 affects the Bronco Sport Badlands. The trim’s starting price has been reduced by $2,850, bringing the base MSRP down to $39,260.

The lower price is partly the result of several formerly standard comfort features becoming optional. Heated steering-wheel functionality, a power-adjustable passenger seat, memory settings for the driver’s seat and mirrors, and remote start are no longer included by default. Buyers who want these amenities must select the $2,295 Badlands Tech Package.

Despite the equipment reshuffle, key performance components remain standard, including the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, eight-speed automatic transmission, twin-clutch rear-drive unit, and ActiveX seating surfaces with perforated inserts.

Ford is also introducing a new Bronze Appearance Package for the Badlands. Costing $1,500, the package adds distinctive bronze-themed styling elements. However, it cannot be ordered alongside the Sasquatch Badlands Package.

Revised Pricing Across the Lineup

Pricing adjustments extend beyond the Badlands model. The entry-level Big Bend now starts at $33,840, representing an $850 increase compared with the previous year.

Other trims become more affordable. The Heritage trim drops by $600 to $35,390, while the Outer Banks sees a larger reduction of $1,350, bringing its starting price to $37,140. The Outer Banks also gains body-colored door handles as part of its updates.

Ford has also discontinued the Free Wheeling edition for 2026.

Additional Options Borrowed from the Larger Bronco

Several features previously associated with the full-size Bronco are now available on the Bronco Sport. Orange Fury Metallic Tri-Coat paint can be added for $995.

Another new option is Ford’s SecuriCode keypad, priced at $195. This familiar feature allows owners to unlock and access their vehicle without carrying a key or using the FordPass app.

A new 400-watt Pro Power Onboard inverter is also available for $175, providing household-style AC power for compatible devices. Buyers selecting the Sasquatch Package can additionally opt for auxiliary switches designed to control aftermarket 12-volt accessories, though doing so eliminates the overhead sunglasses storage compartment.

Fog lights are no longer offered on the Big Bend through the Convenience Package. However, a mini spare tire and steel wheel package remains available for $395 on the Big Bend, Heritage, and Outer Banks trims.

Finally, a front brush guard can be added to most Bronco Sport models for $395, provided the vehicle is equipped with either the Black Diamond Off-Road Package on the Big Bend or the Sasquatch Package on the Outer Banks and Badlands. The Heritage trim remains the exception and does not offer this accessory.
