The South Korean automaker Hyundai has upgraded its Palisade for the Australian automotive market. It was launched in Australia in 2020. After two years, Hyundai has decided to give this car some changes. This facelift model will upgrade a few features and technology used in the car. However, the Engine is the same as the previous model. Palisade will be the first Australian car with the new Bluelink smartphone connectivity system.

Palisade is a 5-door full-size SUV. It was launched in 2020 in the global market and has been one of the highest-selling SUVs of Hyundai. Palisade replaced the former SUV Hyundai Santa Fe. It is the largest vehicle of Hyundai. This SUV can fit eight passengers in the three rows of seats. Hence, it comes with a good amount of cargo space and a foldable last row of seats, expanding the cargo area. For the Australian version, Hyundai introduced the right-hand side drive model. Also, it is available as an option for 7 to 8 seats. In this article, we will discuss the features and specifications of the new Palisade. We will also look at the changes in the Australian version.

What Are The Changes In The New Australian Palisade?

A new generation of Palisade comes with a few cosmetic changes. The newer generation will receive a downgrade in the number of variants. However, it will be available in just two variants: Elite and Highlander. Elite will be the base trim with all the standard equipment and engine. Therefore, the Highlander is the top variant.

Additionally, the Australian version of Palisade will have an option of seven or eight seats. This option is not available in the American version. The seven-seat variant will include two captain chairs in the second row.

Power And Performance Of The New Palisade

2023 Hyundai Palisade doesn’t get any changes in the Engine. Australian upgrade doesn’t come with any changes in the car’s performance. It will continue with the 2022 specifications. Palisade is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 petrol engine. This Engine produces 355Nm of torque, and it is a rear-wheel drive. It is mated with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, it gets a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine. This turbocharged engine produces 440Nm of torque. It is an all-wheel drive setup with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Cabin Features and Interiors of 2023 Hyundai Palisade

Palisade will come with two 12.3-inch displays. One display will be mounted in the center of the dashboard as the touchscreen infotainment system. The other display will be the digital instrumental cluster. 12-speaker Infinity audio system will surround the car. The base trim will have a single panel sunroof, while the Highlander will receive a dual sunroof. Climate control will be a feature in the cabin. The highlander model will also include rain-sensing wipers and an automatic defogging system. Additionally, it will get a heated steering wheel, front and second-row seats, and a head-up display.
