Major updates are on the way for the Ram 1500 range for the 2027 model year. Already confirmed are the Rumble Bee street-focused trucks and the powerful TRX SRT. The latter has now had its Canadian pricing revealed, and although a high price tag was anticipated, the actual figure is still surprising.
To start, it’s important to note that this top-tier off-road Ram 1500 produces 777 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque from a supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8 engine. Ram states it can sprint from 0 to 60 mph (97 km/h) in just 3.5 seconds using launch control.
It also comes equipped with 35-inch all-terrain tyres, 11.8 inches of ground clearance, and Bilstein Black Hawk e2 high-performance adaptive dampers offering up to 14 inches of rear suspension travel, along with Ram Active Terrain Dynamics for suspension control.
Inside the cabin, the truck features 12-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, memory, and massage functions, along with rear seats that are also heated, ventilated, and reclinable.
The interior is finished with leather and suede materials, red contrast stitching and seat belts, and genuine carbon fibre accents. Technology includes a 19-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen, a 12.3-inch digital driver display paired with a head-up display, a 360-degree camera system, and dual wireless charging pads.
For the first time, the TRX comes standard with Hands-Free Active Drive Assist (Level 2+), similar to what is offered in the Ram 1500 RHO and Tungsten models. Pricing for the 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT starts at $144,995 CAD, plus a $2,995 destination fee. Given its capabilities, Ram positions it as a strong value, especially when compared to the 720-hp 2026 Ford F-150 Raptor R, which starts at $155,575 all-in.

Buyers can also add optional equipment such as a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, bed-mounted external spare tyre carrier, 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and off-road running boards.
A more distinctive appearance is available through the Bloodshot Night Edition package, which costs an additional $13,495 and includes a custom Blacktop-style upper finish in Diamond Black Crystal Pearl Coat, a Flame Red centre stripe, unique side graphics, red TRX interior accents, a glass-encased centre console badge, carbon fibre detailing with red anodized threading, and Satin Black beadlock-capable wheels with Satin Titanium rings.
With options, the price can exceed $160,000 before taxes. After applying applicable charges, including Canada’s federal luxury tax of 10% on vehicles over $100,000, the total cost can reach roughly $204,000. Financing terms are also steep, with lease rates reportedly rising from 1.49% to 8.69% for 48-month terms or longer, while purchase financing sits around 4.99%.
The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX SRT is expected to reach select Canadian dealerships this fall. One final cost consideration is fuel consumption, which has not yet been officially released but is expected to be above 19 L/100 km combined, using premium fuel.
