Nissan’s latest car in the Z line-up, 400Z, is the next compact roadster for the Japanese Manufacturer. The Z line-up is a long-running line of attractive coupes that is getting its 6th revision with the 2022 Nissan 400Z. This is preceded by the 370Z, which is over ten years old now, and there was a need for a refreshed model. Back in 2020, Nissan unveiled the full details of the upcoming car with the Nissan Z proto and what you can expect from it in terms of design and features.
Talking about the Z line-up, the cars like 400Z and 370Z are considered the Nissan Z-car. This came the first time in 1969 as the Nissan Fairlady Z or Datsun 240Z. Since the Fairlady Z, this model has gotten six generations of the car with the previous generation car, 370Z releasing back in 2009. The other models between these two were Fairlady 280ZX, Nissan 300ZX (First and Second Model), and Nissan 350Z. Obviously, the next model for the Nissan Z-car, the seventh generation, will be the 2022 Nissan 400Z.

The first proper look at the car came with the Nissan Z Proto. It is a full refresh in design for this generation, changing the design back to the classic shape of the vehicle. The previous 370Z got a very aggressive design change coming from the previous generation. It is a bloated version, and the coupe has a really different look. The Roadster is a bit more compact, but this particular generation received much controversy. Keeping that in mind, the 400Z prototype was designed very differently. It is inspired by the previous generation, but it looks more like the original 240Z Fairlady.

Nissan Z Proto: Exterior and Interior
The Nissan 400Z is going to be based on Nissan Z Proto, which will be a two-seater sleek and sporty car with a proper redesign both inside and outside the vehicle. From the front, you will see the enormous grill that is standard in the vehicles of the modern era. It is a reasonably rectangular grill that looks both functional and decorative. The Headlights are oval-shaped with the led lights on the top and the bottom, giving the car a unique look not seen in any other car of similar caliber. Even the back has some beautiful led lights and regularity serving as a throwback to the original generations of the Nissan Z-car.

With an attractive look from the outside, the proto came with a beautiful interior bringing most of the standard features from the cars of the same league. The cabin looks reasonably practical, with a huge infotainment screen at the center and the speed indicator screen in front of the steering wheel. While having all the climate controls and other standard things, the interior is relatively minimalist. A black trim decorates this specific yellow version of the proto, bringing some of the yellow accents into the interior seats and the yellow stitching for these stylish racing seats.
